WORK Turbochargers is proud to offer the original performance turbocharger upgrade for your 1984-85 Buick Grand National/T-Type! The TA-33C has long been the go to turbo for the Hot Air non intercooled cars that will support up to 500 flywheel HP. WORK takes this legacy series turbocharger one step further and upgrades it with our latest 3 stage balancing, severe duty 360° thrust bearing, high temperature seal rings, low drag ceramic compressor seal and premium coatings to keep it looking fresh for years to come. The TA-33C is built in house with a genuine Garrett T04-E 60 trim compressor wheel and a perfectly matched Stage 3 T31 Hi-Flow turbine wheel.
The TA-33C is a 100% bolt in turbocharger that will require at least 36# injectors, fuel pump and chip for safe operation. It really shines with the addition of 2800 stall speed torque converter and a full exhaust upgrade!
Two wastegate actuator options are available, our standard pressure (8-14 psi) and high pressure (16-22 psi) models. Both are adjustable and will convert the system to a single port style canister for simplified vacuum hose routing. You can also choose a "no actuator" option if you would like to utilize your stock 2 port actuator.
All TA series Buick turbochargers are built on a core exchange basis and take approximately 3 weeks from the date of your order to complete. Your core must be a stock viable core with no broken hardware or cracked housings to receive full core credit. You have 30 days from receipt of your new turbo to return your core, or you can choose to send it in prior to us shipping your TA-33C to avoid core charges.
