WORK is proud to partner up with our friends at FCI to bring you a premium turbocharger upgrade for your L5P Duramax. We start with 100% Genuine GM/BorgWarner cores to provide the highest quality foundation for our upgrades. Each turbocharger is fully disassembled, inspected and cleaned to prepare it for fitment of all new bearings, custom turbine and compressor seals and, of course, our proprietary 66mm compressor wheel upgrade.
Our compressor wheel is designed not only to increase airflow, but to also deliver the highest efficiency possible. High efficiency translates into quiet operation, decreased air intake temperature, quick response and lower exhaust drive pressures by allowing the turbine wheel to operate at a speed that is most optimal for exhaust flow.
Each compressor housing is machined in house for each specific core assembly and will match perfectly so as to avoid any unacceptable clearances between the wheel and the housing that can cause efficiency loss.
Everything is balanced in house with a custom calibration to suit our compressor wheel geometry.
Other Features Of Our Units Include:
• Fully Blueprinted Oil Circuits
• Micro Finished Bearing Surfaces
• Matched Bearing Seals
• Gasket Surfaces Re-Conditioned
• Coatings On Bearing And Turbine Housings
• Clean Room Assembly
• Validation Of Turbine Nozzle Function
• Fully Serial Numbered Units
• The Ability To Upgrade YOUR Turbocharger so You Know The Whole History Of The Unit
*CORE ELIGIBILTY (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)
ALL of the WORK/FCI Duramax Upgrades require a core. Your core MUST be in serviceable condition and free from ANY MAJOR issues. For cores that are 100% rebuildable, you will receive 100% of your core deposit back. IF your turbocharger has damaged parts (Including but not limited to contaminate issues, broken bolts, damaged flanges, etc), your core charge refund will be pro-rated to reflect the offset in cost. Please inquire with us up front with any questions if you suspect your turbocharger has any issues.
Our turbochargers DO NOT come with the electronic actuator, you will need to remove yours from the turbocharger along with the associated hardware and connector link. If you have any questions on how to remove these parts, or what is considered a good core, please contact us and we will be more than happy to help!
