This is a rebuild service for your stock turbocharger NOT a full replacement. For a new replacement or performance upgrade, please return to the main menu HERE!
Our rebuilding process is as follows:
- Full tear down and evaluation
- Phone or email consultation with you with our quote, we will also address any concerns or your questions at this time
- Every part is cleaned, we use media blasting, ultra sonic and hot tank technology
- All wear surfaces restored
- Every clearance blueprinted
- 3 stage balancing (compressor, turbine and final assembly)
- New journal bearings, thrust bearing, thrust washer, seal holder, carbon seal (if equipped) are all fitted
- Wastegate actuator is certified and fitted
- New wastegate swingarm bushing/valve fitted if needed
- All sealing surfaces restored
- All threaded holes restored
- Missing or broken hardware replaced (ALL JIC Type Used)
- 2 year standard warranty, Optional 5 year warranty available
Pricing is based on your core being in average condition. If your turbocharger has damage/trauma to the compressor wheel/turbine wheel, cracks in the exhaust housing or other "severe" issues, the price will be higher. In some cases, the price for the rebuild service will be LOWER, and your account will be credited accordingly.

What is the process for getting your turbocharger rebuilt?
- Purchase the service off of this page, choose what options you want
- Print off your receipt, put it in the box with your turbo
- Package your turbocharger VERY WELL!
- You will receive an email with a UPS shipping label, drop off at any UPS store
- Once your turbocharger arrives you will be contacted within 3 business days with an evaluation
- Work will be performed, our services typically take 3-7 business days to complete (if you are in a rush, please speak with us first to arrange a "priority service!"
- You will then receive a bill for inbound/outbound shipping charges (our prices will be lower than using the UPS Store for the same service level)
- Pay your balance
- Your turbocharger will be shipped back UPS Fully Insured to your billing address, signature required
FAQ's
What are the coating options?
- No coatings. Your turbocharger turbine and bearing housing will be "raw" cleaned cast iron, just like they were delivered from Toyota originally
- Standard coating. This is a high temp cosmetic black coating for the turbine housing and a gloss black enamel coating for the bearing housing. Purely cosmetic, will last a year or so under hard use, longer for standard use
- CERAKOTE. This is a premium ceramic coating, it will help control some heat while providing years of corrosion protection. It is satin black in apperance

- Requires documentation on oil changes and annual oil samples to be performed and submitted to us

What is the safe, maximum boost of a stock 1HDT turbocharger?
- Depending on your modifications, safe boost levels for this turbocharger is 14 psi
Where are your replacement parts made?
- We source our products through a network of suppliers in the US, Canada, Germany, Japan and Asia
- All of our products meet our highest standards, every batch of parts is inspected, tested and QC'd in house by me personally
Do you offer performance upgrades?
- YES! We offer upgrades to suit almost any performance requirement. This information will be added to our product list shortly
How long have you been building Toyota turbochargers?
- Our shop has been in continuous operation since 1994. I have owned the business since late 1997
Do you own a Landcruiser?
- YES! I am the proud owner of my second LC, a 1984 FJ-60. It is my daily driver and a full diesel swap is in the planning stages at this time!
What other Toyota's have you owned?
- 1976 2TC Corolla, single 16G MHI turbocharger, Weber Carburetor, Daily driver from 1996-2002. Ran a best of a 7.78 1/8th mile at 22 psi
- 1987 Turbo 4 Runner, only had this one for 2 weeks. I had my eye on a LC, but this popped up as an opportunity to purchase and resale.
- 2002 TRD Tacoma, Supercharged. Owned this for 186K miles
- 1993 MR2, Upgraded Everything. This was my brother's car, built by us as a shop project. HKS F-Con, GCC, EVC, CT26 with a custom 54mm turbine and compressor upgrade, side mount intercooler and full 3" exhaust.
- 1995 Toyota Paseo (yes!) This car was built in 1996 by myself, John Myers and Bob Lee as a personal project. I acquired this car in 2000 and raced it for 2 years before selling. Best ET 12.24, stock engine!
- 1987 FJ62 Bought this as my first LC, I loved this truck...except for the auto trans. Drove it for 2 years while I looked for an FJ60
- 1984 FJ60 This is my "forever" LC. It is everything I wanted in a chassis. Metallic "Brown!" Just like my mom's 1979 Corolla Lift Back. I have owned it since 2018, it is my main daily driver

Do you offer international shipping?
- YES and NO, there are restrictions on where we can ship, but we will do anything we can to help you get your turbocharger back up and running, regardless of location! Use the contact form and we will discuss your options
